Foundation Investments
While there are many significant functions of the Foundation, perhaps none is more important than the stewardship of gifts. This is where a considerable amount of time and energy is focused. The diverse backgrounds of Board members, staff and consultants combine to bring a wealth of expertise in financial management to the Foundation. The Board approves documented guidelines for how each type of asset is to be handled.
There are three different types of investment assets: current, deferred and endowed. Consequently, our investment approach is different for each. The total market value of all managed investment assets was $593 million as of December 31, 2007.
